Wyoming is a large state with a high percentages of federal lands. The management of those lands by federal agencies has the capacity to greatly affect the neighboring local communities as well as the users of those "multiple use" landscapes. Good planning originates with an understanding of local economies, customs, and culture. It is in the best interest of Wyoming to ensure that federal partners give adequate consideration to local governments and allow those elected bodies and officials to participate in any planning process.
